This model is 100% hand built from scratch using plank on frame construction method. The master craftsman has spent over 50 hours to finish it. The hull is painted in its original color. Multiple layers of paint and vanish were applied to achieve a beautiful smooth surface. Plank decking with details such as metal sterring rod, wooden pulleys and deck houses. Come with a wooden stand with name plate. Some simple assembly require including putting the mast up.
History
Built in 1898, the regatta cutter Pen Duick was one of the most beautiful sailing boats. She was abandoned after running aground in the muddy flats of the Loire. The legendary sailor, Eric Tabarly, who rescued and lovingly restored her with the other sailor were lost off the southeast coast of Wales on the stormy night of June 14, 1998, the same year that PEN DUICK reached its hundredth birthday
